A system boiler needs a hot water cylinder and are most commonly fitted together with a Megaflo type unvented cylinder, but system components are built into the boiler itself. Therefore no need for a feed and expansion tank as an expansion vessel is built into the boiler.

Homes which suit system boilers

System boilers are ideal for homes with more than one bathroom , and can give a constant supply of hot water to any number of taps at the same time (especially when fitted with an unvented cylinder)
Ideal for properties with or planning on having a loft conversion as there is no need for any tanks in the loft.
